As pelvic floor Physiotherapists, we get the opportunity to work closely with people who have experienced trauma and live with trauma in their bodies. Taking Alison's Somatic Therapy Technique's workshop over the weekend was absolutely fantastic. The theory was understandable and the practical components were so useful. Getting to analyse my own nervous system state and applying the techniques to myself in the workshop was such a powerful experience. I know that we'll be using them with patients this week in clinic!
